Naturecode is a research preview. Seeded from real public biodiversity and climate records — reef networks, boreal forests, watershed sensors — not synthetic activity.
A global platform for collecting, governing, and activating environmental data.
Naturecode is a decentralized network that transforms environmental and biodiversity data into verifiable, governed, and economically active infrastructure.
It begins as a curated, open index of planetary datasets. Over time, communities form around ecosystems — reefs, forests, farms, regions — create and maintain datasets, and govern how that data is used, openly or commercially.
Built on Tenzro's identity, agent, and settlement infrastructure, Naturecode introduces a new model where datasets are not static files, but living assets — continuously updated, validated, and activated by AI agents.
Environmental intelligence today is broken.
Data scattered across institutions, silos, and unreadable formats.
High-value records gated by licenses and legacy access tiers.
Value leaves the communities closest to the ecosystem.
One-time datasets. No feedback loop. No continuous truth.
Meanwhile:
- AI systems require high-quality real-world data.
- Communities want sovereignty over their local ecosystems.
- Global coordination on climate and biodiversity is slow and centralized.
There is no system that connects data, ownership, and action.
Data owned by its source. Governed by communities. Activated by agents.
Each dataset becomes a living asset — verifiable in its source, governed by the community closest to it, programmable by AI, and able to generate value every time it's used.

One protocol. Different doors in.
Self-govern your ecosystem and biodiversity.
Indigenous councils, dive collectives, ranger networks, mangrove villages, smallholder co-ops — anyone who already stewards a place.
- Mint your community DID + treasury — no external registrar required
- Issue member identity + voting rights with community-controlled credentials
- Publish observations from sensors, drones, and field crews; revenue routes to the source
- Issue voluntary credits sovereignly, or co-issue with Verra / Plan Vivo / Gold Standard
Manage public ecosystems with transparent dMRV.
Local governments, conservation authorities, foundations, and non-profits managing land, water, fisheries, or biodiversity at the territorial scale.
- Stand up territorial dMRV in weeks, not years — drone + satellite + edge sensors signed end-to-end
- Disburse grants against verified outcomes (mangrove cover restored, methane reduced, water replenished)
- Publish open observatory dashboards your constituents and donors can audit
- Bridge into compliance frameworks (Article 6, CRCF, BNG) via licensed registry partners when needed
Query the planet. Cite by receipt.
Universities, field scientists, lab groups, citizen-science collectives — anyone who needs verifiable, attributable environmental data.
- Verifiable observations across biodiversity, climate, water, soil, forest, air, and reef
- Cite individual observations with on-chain receipts; cohort exports for replication
- Save queries; receive alerts when thresholds are crossed
- Co-design new methodologies with steward communities (Plan Vivo Nature, Wallacea, sovereign)
Retire high-integrity voluntary credits.
Corporates with net-zero or nature-positive commitments, climate funds, family offices, sustainability teams managing CSRD / IFRS S2 / SEC Climate disclosure.
- Hold + retire voluntary credits backed by signed end-to-end dMRV — no greenwashing risk
- Carbon, blue carbon, biodiversity, water, resilience, nature-bundle credits in one wallet
- Beneficiary VCs for disclosure; retire programmatically by API
- Co-issued tranches (Verra / Plan Vivo / Gold Standard) for KYC-gated institutional desks
Bring planetary data and agents into your system.
Engineering teams, climate-tech startups, data platforms, sustainability software vendors — anyone integrating environmental intelligence into a product.
- Read datasets, write observations, subscribe to streams, retire credits — one SDK
- Invoke autonomous agents for validation, detection, enrichment, and alerting
- MCP for LLM clients · Google A2A for cross-agent tasks · webhooks for every event
- Full Tenzro agentic-payments stack — Visa TAP, Mastercard Agent Pay, Stripe MPP, Coinbase x402
- Three settlement rails — EVM, SVM, Canton/DAML — one identity (TDIP)
Train on signed environmental data.
Foundation-model teams, applied AI labs, and edge-AI providers (like Furcate) building specialised models for vision, audio, timeseries, or multi-modal environmental intelligence.
- Signed, attributable training data with verifiable provenance — no scraped proxies
- Register your model on the sovereign model registry; bill per call or by depth tier
- Confidential inference (TEE) and on-device deployment options for data-residency requirements
- Bias reports + provenance VCs attached to every inference receipt
Plug your devices into a paying pipeline.
Sensor manufacturers, drone operators, satellite providers, edge-blockchain vendors — anyone running infrastructure at the planetary edge.
- Sign at the edge; data is signed-then-published — no trusted intermediary
- Naturecode handles routing, identity, billing, and revenue distribution to your community customers
- First-class integrations: Minima full-nodes, Furcate Ground Units, Sentinel-2, GEDI, Planet
- Get listed on the Plugin marketplace — community + steward installs with one click
Hold a portfolio of nature outcomes.
Climate funds, impact-aligned LPs, family offices, and biodiversity-finance investors looking for high-integrity nature exposure with on-chain proof of work.
- Diversify across asset classes (blue carbon, biodiversity, water, resilience, nature bundles)
- Sovereign and co-issued tranches in one wallet; KYC scales with the credit, not the holder
- Watch real-time MRV — drone footage, sensor telemetry, satellite tiles — behind every credit
- Programmatic retirement for offtake commitments; receipt VCs for LP reporting
Talk to us — we'll route you.
Onboarding is hands-on. We help map your existing setup (sensors, registries, identity) into Naturecode — and won't push you toward an asset class that doesn't fit.
- 30-min discovery call with a Naturecode steward
- Mapping of your data sources, methodologies, and governance needs
- Recommended starting point — community, dataset, agent, or integration
- Pilot timeline + handoff plan for self-stewardship after launch
Top-tier verification, at sensor cost.
State-of-the-art dMRV, end to end.
Naturecode runs the current state-of-the-art at every layer: Furcate vision / audio / timeseries / multimodal models on edge hardware, signed at source by Minima edge nodes, cross-checked by Sentinel-2, GEDI, Planet, and drone passes, and reasoned by autonomous agents. Continuous, programmatic, cryptographically verifiable — never a black box.
The signal flows in seconds, not seasons. Issuance happens continuously instead of on a 12–24 month audit cycle. And every credit retains its full lineage receipt — every sensor reading, every model inference, every human attestation — open for independent verification.
- VerraVM0033 v2.1
Tidal Wetland & Seagrass Restoration. Active Sep 2023. Permits remote-sensing-based MRV for mangroves and seagrass biomass + soil organic carbon.
- Gold StandardSustainable Management of Mangroves
Launched Aug 2024. Built around remote sensing as the primary measurement layer — not as an exception.
- Plan VivoPV Nature
Multi-metric biodiversity protocol. Uses eco-acoustic + eDNA + satellite fusion (with Pivotal). Community-led, FPIC-required.
- VerraVM0042 (Boomitra)
First AI / remote-sensing soil-carbon project on a major registry. Established the precedent for tech-led MRV at scale.
Sovereign, institutional, or both.
Mint credits under a Naturecode-sovereign methodology — no external registrar, no licence required. The community is the issuer of record. Set your own pricing, splits, gating, and methodology terms. Ideal for community markets, direct B2B sales, and outcome-bundle credits where no global standard yet exists.
- No registrar
- Open rails (EVM, SVM)
- Community-attested
The same project routes through Verra, Plan Vivo, or Gold Standard for a parallel registry-serial tranche. Naturecode contributes the dMRV stack; the licensed partner carries the methodology accreditation, verifier network, and regulated tokenisation. Required by most institutional buyers and CORSIA / ICVCM-eligible buyers.
- Registry serial
- KYC tier 2/3
- Canton (DAML) rails
One asset class carries a sovereign tranche AND a co-issued tranche on the same underlying outcome. Community markets get open-rail access to the sovereign tranche; institutional desks get the registry-gated tranche. The dMRV evidence base is shared — a single stream of signed observations underwrites both.
- Two tranches
- Shared MRV
- Recommended default
Three surfaces. Same protocol underneath.
The Naturecode Platform.
The hosted dashboard where stewards, contributors, researchers, and developers govern, observe, and transact.
- Mode-aware overview (steward, contributor, researcher, developer)

- Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for LLM clients — Claude, Cursor, IDEs
- Google A2A protocol for agent-to-agent task exchange
- Visa Trusted Agent Protocol (TAP) — identity-first agent verification before payment
- Mastercard Agent Pay — single-use, session-bound, recurring agent tokens
- Stripe + Tempo MPP — streaming machine payments (pay-by-the-second)
- Coinbase x402 — one-request, pay-as-you-call API standard
